If you are searching for a personal trainer in Maroubra, the first thing you want to know is what it will cost. So here it is, with no hunting around.

At my studio at Maroubra Junction, one-on-one training is $110 for a 45-minute session, and small group training is $48 for a 1-hour session, with a maximum of six people in the group. All my prices include GST.

Prices correct as of October 2026.

What I charge at The Fitness Space

One-on-one personal training: $110 per 45-minute session. It is just you and me. Everything in the session is built around your goals, your body and whatever injuries or limits you are working with.

Small group training: $48 per 1-hour session. I cap every group at six, so I can still correct your technique and adjust the session for you. It is a full-body workout with other people in the room, and many people find that keeps them turning up.

If you are not sure which suits you, I wrote a plain comparison of personal training vs small group training that goes through who each one fits.

How you pay

There are no contracts. I am flexible, and if it suits you, you can pay for a session in advance.

Trying it first: the $99 intro offer

If you have never trained with me, the cheapest way to find out is the $99 intro offer. It is for small group training, and it is not my standard price. You get:

  • One week of unlimited small group training
  • A custom strength program built around what you want to achieve
  • A one-week food plan
  • My protein recipe cheat sheet
  • Access to my private Facebook group
  • A 30-minute personal session on your calories and macros

I value the whole package at $349, and it expires one week after you buy it. Health fund rebates may be available, so check with your fund. You can see everything on the intro offer page. If you are brand new to the gym, my post on gym confidence for total beginners is a good place to start.

Nutrition coaching

I am also a qualified nutritionist, so I can help with food as well as training. Your first nutrition session is $199, and each follow-up session after that is $90 for 30 minutes. There is also a nutrition intro offer at $265 that includes a personalised macronutrient plan, a food plan, a progress tracking sheet and more. The details are on the intro offer page.

The 6-week challenge: $450

If you want a structured start, my 6-week challenge is $450. Details are on the 6-week fitness challenge page. For what to expect week by week, see what results you can expect after 6 weeks.

What it works out to each week

Prices on their own do not tell you much, so here is the simple maths:

  • Two small group sessions a week: 2 x $48 = $96 a week
  • Three small group sessions a week: 3 x $48 = $144 a week
  • One one-on-one session a week: $110 a week

Plenty of people mix the two: group sessions through the week and the odd one-on-one when they need extra attention on technique or a program change.

What to compare when you are shopping around

Personal training prices vary across Sydney, and the cheapest price is not always the best value. Whoever you choose, ask:

  1. How long is the session, really? 30, 45 or 60 minutes?
  2. How many people will be in a group, and will anyone check your technique?
  3. Will the same trainer be with you each session?
  4. What qualifications does the trainer hold?
  5. Is nutrition support included, or is it an add-on?

I would rather you ask those questions of me too. If my studio is not the right fit, I will tell you.
